Cactus Avenue Interchange Aims to Reduce Las Vegas Traffic Congestion

The new interchange helps alleviate heavy traffic at the busy Interstate 15 exit at Silverado Ranch Boulevard and improves access to the southwestern Las Vegas Valley.

The areas around Las Vegas have grown rapidly in the last decades, outpacing the rate of public facilities and infrastructure development. As a result, the Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) and the Clark County Department of Public Works (CCPW) sought to increase access for residents with an infrastructure project that was expected to last almost two years from design to the end of construction.
