Hood River Water Transmission Main

Constructed in 1929, the City of Hood River's existing pipeline has experienced failures resulting from corrosion and its inability to withstand operating pressures with increasing frequency in the past several years.

Dynamic analysis of the system was accomplished by BergerABAM to determine stabilized pressures through the transmission system. By studying the full 12-mile length of the pipeline, the best new route to provide the City's water operations staff easier access to a much more reliable system was determined.
