U.S. Coast Guard Station Neah Bay

Neah Bay, Washington

BergerABAM developed a unique and cost-effective framing scheme for the replacement of this dilapidated facility that had been subjected to numerous aggressive natural processes, including high winds, large waves, and seismic activity.

A pile system was selected that provided both vertical and horizontal support. This framing scheme optimized the use of reserve pile capacity in order to minimize the quantity of piles installed and shorten the time for completion. The facility was primarily constructed with precast concrete elements that are extremely durable in the harsh environment.

BergerABAM's extensive knowledge of marine structures and commitment to innovation provides clients with cost-effective solutions for the modernization of existing port facilities.
