BergerABAM completed the demolition of an existing pier and the design and construction of a new pier and necessary utilities to support the homeporting of a CVN-class aircraft carrier and an AOE (auxiliary oiler/expendables) ship. The civil engineering provided by BergerABAM for the recreation center enabled the contractor to dispose of a large volume of contaminated material that resulted in significant cost and schedule savings.
