Northeast Ward Road/Northeast 172nd Avenue Improvements

Clark County, Washington

Clark County has experienced significant population growth, a consequent increase in automobile traffic, and a rise in the number of vehicular incidents at the Northeast Ward Road/ Northeast 172nd Avenue intersection. This improvement project realigned this offset intersection, constructed two new bridges over China Ditch and Fifth Plain Creek, and extended culverts. BergerABAM managed the project's natural resources tasks and prepared the biological assessment; endangered species technical report; wetland delineation; rare plant survey; wetland mitigation plan; and local, state, and federal permit applications. The firm also teamed with an archaeologist to assess the project's potential archaeological and cultural impacts and prepared supporting documentation for permitting.
