Columbia Gateway Industrial Development

Vancouver, Washington

The largest remaining industrial-zoned parcel in the Portland area, Columbia Gateway is located along the Columbia River. BergerABAM conducted scoping in preparation for the adoption of a subarea plan and environmental impact statement (EIS) for the Port of Vancouver. The project was anticipated to affect wetland, wildlife, and wildlife habitat. BergerABAM prepared a draft Washington State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA) EIS to address the impacts of the subarea plan and associated future development. Critical elements included land use, wildlife habitat, wetlands, and fishery resources. As part of a project team preparing a National Environmental Policy Act EIS, BergerABAM completed the community and housing, land use, and wetland analyses and was responsible for project coordination, consistency with SEPA, and local permitting.
