99th Street Transit Center

Clark County, Washington

People commuting from Clark County needed another place to park their vehicles and catch the bus. C-TRAN, Clark County's transit agency, wanted to construct a new park-and-ride on a site containing wetlands just off Interstate 5. BergerABAM assisted C-TRAN by preparing an environmental assessment and coordinating permit approval with federal, state, and local agencies to ensure compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act and Federal Transit Authority requirements. The environmental assessment was also compiled to meet the requirements of the State Environmental Policy Act. Staff analyzed land use, assessed endangered species, and delineated wetlands. In addition, BergerABAM drafted and edited the resulting project documentation incorporating agency and subconsultant comments, helped locate a mitigation site, prepared a plan for mitigation, and oversaw and monitored the plan's execution.
