Miller Creek Bridge Replacement

Monroe, Oregon

BergerABAM managed the natural resource tasks involved in replacing the Oregon State Route 99 West (OR99W) bridge over Miller Creek for the Oregon Department of Transportation. While the bridge was structurally deficient, minimizing traffic interruption was important because the bridge carries OR99W, a major thoroughfare for rural communities west of Interstate 5. BergerABAM's work included preparing a biological assessment and endangered species technical report; delineating wetlands; planning and executing public involvement; preparing bid specifications; and local, state, and federal permitting. The riparian and wetland mitigation plan, also prepared by BergerABAM, will improve fish habitat functions by enhancing upland riparian habitat and creating wetlands.
