State Route 502 Corridor Study

Clark County, Washington

The Washington State Department of Transportation intends to construct this project to ease travel and improve access to a new Interstate 5 interchange. The project will widen the State Route 502 corridor from the interstate to the western edge of the City of Battle Ground. BergerABAM delineated wetlands and determined alignment impacts, collected information regarding natural resources (vegetation, fish, and wildlife), and conducted tree assessments to determine the trees that would be removed to widen the corridor. BergerABAM also delineated the ordinary high water mark along area streams and prepared the discipline report for a National Environmental Policy Act environmental assessment. A biological assessment was also completed for formal Endangered Species Act consultation to address potential effects to federally listed endangered and threatened species and critical habitat.
