College Campus Master Plan and SEPA Compliance

Clark County, Washington

To provide for 20 years of continuous Washington State University (WSU) Vancouver growth, BergerABAM managed the original environmental impact statement (EIS) document and a supplemental EIS (SEIS). Staff also oversaw the preparation of an addendum to the original EIS for two new campus buildings, led the multidisciplinary project team, and provided public involvement. The SEIS project updated the campus master plan to allow for the additional academic and nonacademic buildings necessary to accommodate projected student growth.

BergerABAM has managed the site plan review permitting process for most WSU Vancouver buildings. In addition, staff completed a development agreement for the university resulting in the advance provision of the transportation capacity necessary to construct new campus buildings over a 14-year period. This provision enables WSU Vancouver to continue to develop the campus without additional mitigation or transportation studies.
