BergerABAM led the design effort for a proposed 58-acre commercial and industrial development at the Port of Vancouver. The project included new roadways, massive earth fills, stormwater management and drainage, and new and relocation of existing utilities. A key project issue involved a complex permitting effort with a challenging schedule. BergerABAM successfully managed a diverse group of consultants with expertise in the areas of traffic engineering, geotechnical analysis, archaeological studies, landscape architecture, topographic surveying, and local and state permitting. Staff maintained a commitment to the project's schedule in the face of such issues as bald eagle protection, wetland fills, and an elaborate regulatory framework.
