Tennant Way Low Impact Design Master Plan

Longview, Washington

BergerABAM provided urban design, civil engineering, and public involvement services related to low impact development streetscape improvements along Tennant Way, which is considered a gateway approach from Interstate 5 to downtown Longview. BergerABAM designed a conceptual streetscape plan for the planning study area. The plan, which kept low impacts in mind, considered elements, such as curbside parking areas and medians for landscape/drainage features and upgrades to street lighting and pedestrian facilities. BergerABAM was responsible for community and stakeholder communications throughout the project. Community engagement included coordination with an existing Tennant Way public advisory group and local businesses along with neighborhood meetings and an open house for street and open space improvements in the residential area. BergerABAM also developed project fact sheets and coordinated mailings to area businesses and residents.
