Magnolia Meadows Park

Hillsboro, Oregon

BergerABAM worked with the Hillsboro Parks and Recreation Department to update the master plan and prepare redevelopment plans for Magnolia Meadows Park. Located along Bronson Creek, this 3.3-acre neighborhood park provides passive park and open space amenities for adjacent residential developments. BergerABAM evaluated the existing park features to address the client’s safety, maintenance, and budget concerns, which provided a baseline for our designers to develop the master plan. The master plan is intended to guide redevelopment of the park, including recommendations to improve user safety and experience, reduce maintenance, and enhance the overall appearance of the site. The distinctive features of this park include mitigation plantings, basalt stone seat walls, and a small nature play facility. Based on the approved master plan, BergerABAM prepared construction documents for the first phase of redevelopment. These construction plans include a mitigation design to replant a degraded riparian vegetated corridor along Bronson Creek.
