Trail Wayfinding and Interpretive Signs

Oregon City, Oregon

Using our diverse capabilities in trail planning, detail design, and graphic communications, BergerABAM worked with the City of Oregon City to develop trail wayfinding and interpretive signs for the Willamette Greenway Trail, McLoughlin Promenade, and Willamette Terrace. These trail elements are part of the larger Intertwine, a network of regional outdoor recreation facilities in the Portland metropolitan region. Our work involved researching regional design precedents, materials, graphics and identity, and state and federal trail and wayfinding standards. The conceptual designs developed during this planning process were used for public outreach and permitting. BergerABAM also prepared construction plans and specifications used to construct and install new signs along the Willamette River and in historic Oregon City.
